Praxis is an IT services company that provides niche software, software development, financial systems, business intelligence solutions, and network implementation and management. Eighty diverse professionals bring passion, IT expertise and business understanding to our team.
Praxis has worked extensively in the public sector over the past 20 years, particularly in the areas of skills development and education, and has developed an excellent understanding of the business requirements in that environment. We have also developed specific expertise in bespoke systems development and integration, and grant management.
Praxis staff members are continually trained and challenged to stay up to date with the latest trends. This enables us to understand how technology can help you meet your business goals.
Our head office is in Johannesburg, South Africa, but we also have offices in Durban and Cape Town.
We aim to provide a one-stop, cost-effective solution to your IT needs. We believe in partnering with our clients in an interdependent, win-win relationship. Together we identify and use existing synergies.
Praxis then designs and integrates holistic IT solutions, tailored to your specific requirements. Where possible, Praxis then adds permanent value to your business by transferring skills to your employees.
We are a modern company with a diverse, proudly South African team. We pride ourselves on excellent service delivery and great client relationships, and we achieve this through our core values, which are:

Praxis supports social and community development. With the youth fearlessly embracing and growing the IT industry, we’ve been formally running school-leaving internships and graduate internships since 2002.
In addition, since 1993 more than 40 young black school leavers and University of Technology (formerly technikon) graduates have been given their first jobs at Praxis and have been supported through our recruitment programme. All of them are now successfully employed at Praxis or elsewhere in the industry.
One of our founding directors, Mirriam Zwane, is involved in gardens for pensioners in Soweto, sewing projects, ABET (Adult Basic Education and training) and the rehabilitation of young offenders.
